A Node Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks based on Particle Swarm Algorithm

Abstract:

Node localization is the basis of a variety of applications as an important technology in wireless sensor networks. This paper studies the existing localization algorithms, and puts forward a sensor node localization algorithm based on particle swarm algorithm, this algorithm uses the fitness value of the particle to adjust the inertia weight value, in order to achieve , and fast and accurate positioning of the target node. The simulation results show that the algorithm is an effective refinement algorithm … Show more

“…It uses multiple receivers (at least 3) receiving the same signal at the same time to calculate the location of the signal source by measuring the time difference between the arrival of the signal at each receiver. The principle of the TDOA algorithm is that, as the signal propagates at a fixed speed, the signal propagates through obstacles such as air, ground and buildings and experiences a certain time delay before reaching the receiver [5,8]. TDOA is a traditional and mature localization method, and its advantages include high localization accuracy, ability to locate sound sources in 3-D space, adaptability to different environments, simple and easily understandable principle, insensitivity to multi-path effects, and scalability [8,9].…”

The more barrier the greater relative number value is, so with the increase of the distance average energy accepted dropping speed is faster and faster [4][5][6][7].
