A new three-dimensional zinc(ii) metal–organic framework as a fluorescence sensor for sensing the biomarker 3-nitrotyrosine

Abstract: A new 3D zinc-based metal–organic framework was successfully prepared, which exhibits excellent luminescence sensing performance toward the biomarker 3-nitrotyrosine with a high KSV, low detection limit and rapid response time.

“…Moreover, the value of K SV is also higher than that of our previous work (6.596 × 10 4 M −1 ). 57 With the increase of the 3-NT concentration, the change of the fluorescence intensity gradually deviated from being linear. The occurrence of this phenomenon may be caused by energy transfer processes in the quenching process or selfabsorption.…”

“…An interesting Zn-MOF, [Zn(ebpba)(1,3,5-Hbtc)] n ( 41 ) (ebpba = (E)-4,4′-(ethene-1,2-diyl)bis[(N-pyridin-3-yl)benzamide], H 3 btc = benzenetricarboxylic acid), can be used as a highly efficient fluorescence sensing material which provides a direct and low-cost method for the rapid detection of 3-nitrotyrosine (3-NT). Moreover, this species shows a high sensitivity with a KSV of 6.596 × 10 4 M −1 , a rapid response, excellent selectivity, high anti-interference ability, and good recyclability [ 66 ].…”

“…Biological molecules playing an important role in the pathophysiology can be recognized as the biomarkers for disease diagnosis. MOFs have been used to construct fluorescent sensors for the direct determination of biological molecules, such as hypoxanthine, uric acid, histidine and 3-nitrotyrosine [ 138 , 139 , 140 , 141 , 142 , 143 ]. For example, Zhang et al used the mixed-crystal Ln-MOF as a fluorescent indicator for the detection of lysophosphatidic acid, a biomarker for ovarian cancer [ 144 ].…”
