“…During the treatment process, when gastrointestinal imaging shows no evidence of contrast agent leakage, we perform gastroscopy to evaluate fistula healing. In previous studies, we have demonstrated that the three-tube method is effective and feasible for treatment of duodenal fistula [ 19 ]. We have found that as long as the three-tube placement is accurate, suction is effective, and nutrition is guaranteed, rapid improvement in general condition of the patient and ultimate healing of the pus cavity and fistula can be achieved.…”
