Abstract:Lignin is a natural
aromatic compound in plants. Several lignin
structural models have been proposed in the past years, but all the
models cannot be converted to benzene carboxylic acids (BCAs) for
all aromatic rings connected to oxygen. This inspired us to explore
the structures of lignin. Based on the yields of BCAs, the results
of

spectrometry and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry of ethanolysis
of lignin, we have … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
