A new species of Wormaldia from the Iberian Peninsula (Trichoptera, Philopotamidae)

Abstract: A new species of the caddis‐fly genus Wormaldia from the north‐western of the Iberian Peninsula is described and figured: Wormaldia schmidi sp. n. Males of the new species are close to W. lusitanica and W. saldetica, but the new species is well characterized by a combination of characters, especially concerning the shape of the superior appendages and the apical segment of the inferior appendages, and the number, size and shape of the phallic sclerites.
