Abstract:Treehoppers are sap-sucking hemipteran insects that have been found worldwide except Antarctica. They are also absent from Madagascar, Greenland, and Iceland. Their diverse pronotal development has made them a favorite group for entomologists with many regional and habitat studies done in the United States (Dietrich et al. 1999, Deitz and Wallace 2012, Flynn 2012.
