Abstract:Transcatheter mitral valve‐in‐valve implantation is a preferred treatment for degenerating mitral bioprosthetic valves in high‐risk surgical patients. A balloon‐expandable transcatheter heart valve delivered through a postero‐inferior transseptal puncture is deployed within the prosthesis over a guidewire secured in the left ventricle.
