“…A search in the CSD database revealed that the Ag–S distances within Ag thioether complexes are distributed over a broad range from 236.1 to 358.3 pm with a median value of 256.7 pm and an upper quantile of 264.9 pm (data from 821 entries with 2122 Ag–S distances) . Comparably large Ag–S separations have been observed in catena ‐[(μ 3 ‐bis(4‐pyridylsulfanyl)methane‐ κN,κN′ )‐(acetato‐ κ O)‐silver(I) monohydrate] (283.1 pm) and catena ‐[bis(μ‐3‐(methylsulfanyl)‐1 H ‐1,2,4‐triazole)‐silver(I) nitrate] (292.0 pm) . In accordance with the merely weak Ag–S interactions the deviation of the N–Ag–P units from linearity is rather small.…”
