Abstract:An asymptotic procedure is proposed for solving the kinetic equations of carriers and phonons (treated as a participating species), in the presence of traps for electrons. Fluid-dynamical equations are constructed, which are related to extended thermodynamical ones, for the chemical potentials of carriers, temperature and drift velocity. The generation-recombination rate is compared with the Shockley-Read-Hall model. In the drift-diffusion approximation, the constitutive laws are derived and the Onsager relati… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
