Torinel is a rootstock with moderate vigour (Audergon et al, 1991), which can explain the vigorous growth of budded trees as compared to the other rootstocks. Admittedly, very low growth was recorded on St. Julien 'Wädenswil', a moderate vigour rootstock (Dçíena et al, 2013), yet this rootstock has been exhibiting very poor growth qualities in the location of Lednice for a longer period of time.…”
