A New Radio Transmission Phenomenon

Abstract: EDITOR 705where n and n' denote neutrino and antineutrino, respectively. The processes (a) and (b) were considered by Wolfe and Uhlenbeck 3 on the basis of the original Fermi theory.For processes (a) and (b) we find for the reciprocal of the lifetime (mc7/r)G 2 [i(V+l) 3/2 arcsinh r^rf-HW+l) 1 ' 2 arcsinh 770 + (l/105)V-(l/15)7 ? o 5 -^o 3 -fr ?0 ]. (2) G is the dimensionless constant gm 2 c/(2ir z ) ll2 h*= 10~1 3 and 770 is (A 2 -1) 1/2 where mA is the mass difference of proton and neutron. Transitions (a) a… Show more

“…Later, it was discovered that chromospheric eruptions, geomagnetic crochet and short wave fadeouts (SWF) were concomitant phenomena (Dellinger, 1935;Torroson et al, 1936;Fleming, 1937;Richardson, 1937). McNish (1937) examined the effects of above mentioned three events in 1936 on the magnetic recordings at 18 stations in Western Europe, America and southern Pacific areas.…”

“…Dellinger (1935) reported simultaneous occurrence of short wave fade out (SWF) during the crochet time. The concomitant phenomena of solar flare, crochet and short wave fade out soon received much interest of many scientists (Fleming, 1936;Richardson, 1936;Torreson et al, 1936).…”

“…During the 1930s, Dellinger (1935) carefully studied the fading of high-frequency radio waves ("fade-out") over Europe and North America. For the event of May 12, 1935, Topical Issue -Space climate: The past and future of solar activity 11 h 57 m-12 h 00 m, he discovered a correspondence with solar activity.…”
