“…The assessment of element mobility in soils and the availability to plants has been the main application of the single and sequential extraction procedures (Schramel et al, 2000;Kowalska et al, 2002;Ayoub et al, 2003;Geebelen et al, 2003;Kaasalainen et al, 2003;Niesiobedzka, 2004;Tokalioglu et al, 2004;De Gregori et al, 2004;Kubova et al, 2005;Adamo et al, 2006;Alvarez et al, 2006;Pérez de Mora et al, 2006a, b;Davidson et al, 2007;Zemberyova et al, 2007). In some works the comparison of the results obtained by single, sequential extraction and other leaching tests (Sutherland et al, 2002;Tokalioglu et al, 2003;Margui et al, 2004;Kubova et al, 2004;Guevara-Riba et al, 2004;Kazi et al, 2005;Krasnodebska-Ostrega et al, 2006;Nakazatoet et al, 2006) or electrochemical techniques (Kowalska et al, 2002) is also reported in order to determine the relevance of the environmental conclusions that can be drawn from the data obtained. Moreover, the use of microwave or sonication has been tested to speed up the extraction (Ipolyi et al, 2002;Canepari et al, 2005;Pazos-Capeans et al, 2005;Dutta et al, 2005).…”
