A new peronosporomycete, Halioticida noduliformans gen. et sp. nov., isolated from white nodules in the abalone Haliotis spp. from Japan Recently, DNA sequence-based molecular phylogenetic studies of the Peronosporomycetes have been carried out to assist morphologically based taxonomy.
