A new modification of the Krajian silver stain for Treponema pallidum.

Abstract: The need for a consistently reliable silver stain for Treponema pallidum in paraffin sections made us aware that further investigation of the technique was needed. Three methods were tried and discarded:(1) The Levaditi stain, which was originally planned for use in staining entire blocks of tissue fixed in 10 per cent. formalin.
