A New Mill Design for the Production of a Strip with Zero Strip Crown

Abstract: The figure describes lateral stress distributions in the work roll and a group of small rolls which serve as backup rolls in a UTC mill, predicted from the finite element analysis of the elastic deformation of the roll stack which has been carried out by Metal Forming and CAD/CAE Laboratory in POSTECH.
