“…Thus, the results of our study can be used as a benchmark for further attempts in improving the postoperative results after LAG tube placement. This can be implemented by using some of the suggestions for improvement already found in the literature 20 22 23 27 28 29 30 31 32 or by new interventions.…”

“…Since the 1990s, laparoscopic equipment and techniques have advanced, enabling gastrostomy to be performed using minimally invasive approaches, and many modified techniques have been reported. [10][11][12][13] Here, we introduce a new laparoscopic technique for GT insertion that uses only two trocars and smaller incisions than common laparoscopic approaches.…”

“…This technique uses four ports, including a 3.5-mm port in upper left abdomen to provide better access to the greater curvature of the stomach. 13 With a purse-string suture, a loop is made and passed into the abdominal cavity through the upper left port three times, and then a hook cautery is inserted through the port to create a hole. Initially, the purse-string suture and loop thread are tied separately outside the abdomen.…”

“…On the other hand, the reporting of serious complications associated with the PEG technique in children led to new searches in pediatric patients and laparoscopic gastrostomy (LG) application gained popularity in the 1990s with the increasing usage of laparoscopy and other video-assisted techniques (5). Since the first time it was applied, LG has undergone different modifications in order to reduce complication rates and facilitate the operation technique (6). Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) has developed rapidly in recent years and has become the gold standard for the correction of many surgical pathologies.…”
