A New Method for Internal Force Detection of Steel Bars Covered by Concrete Based on the Metal Magnetic Memory Effect

Abstract: In this paper, the specimens of steel bars covered by concrete (SBCC) are taken as research objects, and a new method for steel bar internal force detection based on the metal magnetic memory effect is proposed. The variation law of the self-magnetic flux leakage (SMFL) signals on the surfaces of SBCC specimens with loading tension and the variation of the SMFL signals along the axial positions of specimens under different tensile forces are studied. The results show that when the loading tension is about 90% … Show more

“…The linear combination coefficient can be obtained from Eigenequation (10), and then the wave function of the system can be obtained using Equation (7). Then, the electron spin density of states and energy band structure of the solid system can be calculated by substituting Equation ( 7) into Equation (6).…”

“…Magnetic memory testing can characterize the stress concentration degree of the ferromagnetic material by detecting the irreversible magnetic field change characteristics on the material surface after the stress application in the geomagnetic environment [6][7][8][9]. On the basis of magnetic memory, weak magnetic detection is proposed to assess the stress concentration degree by detecting the weak magnetic field signal distribution and variation characteristics on the pipeline surface under the non-excitation state (earth magnetic field environment) [10][11][12][13]. This method is an online detection technology for pipeline stress concentration [14][15][16].…”

“…If these components reach a maximum value and pass through zero, there is a change in polarity. Then, in the areas of stress concentration zones (SCZs), we speak of magnetic anomalies indicating a potential damage site [7]. It has been proven in many works that MMM output signals have a good correlation with stress anomalies on the surface of ferromagnetic materials [8,9].…”
