A New Look at Old Data: Infection Control Case Study

Abstract: This case study demonstrates the process one accredited home care organization followed to reduce its infection rate. Ongoing benchmarking of urinary tract infection (UTI) rates was the basis of measuring the performance of the organization. The project culminated in the development of a UTI patient education tool and improved outcomes to care.
