A new image encryption algorithm based on heterogeneous chaotic neural network generator and dna encoding

Abstract: This paper presents a new combined neural network and chaos based pseudorandom sequence generator and a DNA-rules based chaotic encryption algorithm for secure transmission and storage of images. The proposed scheme uses a new heterogeneous chaotic neural network generator controlling the operations of the encryption algorithm: pixel position permutation, DNA-based bit substitution and a new proposed DNA-based bit permutation method. The randomness of the generated chaotic sequence is improved by dynamically u… Show more

“…The secret keys generated by the intertwining logistic map are improved by the Fourier-Mellin based matrix. Finally, the image In 2018, Maddodi et al [50] proposed a method that integrates ANN, chaos based pseudorandom sequence generator and DNA based chaotic encryption algorithm for image encryption. A heterogeneous neural network based chaotic pseudo random generator is used to manage the pixel position permutation, DNA-based bit substitution and permutation method.…”

“…The researcher verified the security and effectiveness of this method by attacking the encrypted image. Maddodi et al [23] proposed a new pseudorandom sequence generator that combines a neural network with chaos and a chaotic encryption algorithm based on DNA rules for the secure transmission and storage of images. This scheme uses a new control encryption algorithm of the heterogeneous chaotic neural network generator and optimizes the performance of the generated chaotic sequences by dynamically updating the control parameters and number of iterations of the chaotic map.…”

“…For example, Maddodi et al . [19] proposed a new combined neural network and chaos‐based pseudorandom sequence generator and a DNA‐rules‐based chaotic encryption algorithm. The algorithm had high cryptographic quality, but, it had poor robustness and was insecure against differential attack due to its poor unified average changing intensity (UACI).…”
