A new group of compounds derived from 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-aminoindoles with antimicrobial activity

Abstract: Introduction. The problem of antibiotic resistance of microorganisms is becoming more urgent in the twenty-first century. Microorganisms possess an evolutionary adaptive capacity. Non-adherence to the basic principles of rational antibiotic therapy leads to menacing consequences. More and more pathogenic microbes are becoming resistant to two or more antibiotics. The search for new compounds with antimicrobial activity is one of the principles for overcoming the antibiotic resistance of microorganisms. … Show more

“…The microbicidal potency of cerium along with the anti-viral action of N-acetyl-6-aminohexanoic acid has been previously reported [11,18]. Stepanenko et al showed that cerium-containing N-acetyl-6-aminohexanoate prevented colony growth of meticillin-resistant S. aureus in vitro [57]. We used an approach for anti-microbial activity determination, which allowed us to detect bacteria not only in washouts but in all wound tissues [34][35][36].…”

“…In this context, the antimicrobial importance of polyheterocyclic systems such as 2‐quinolones is well established. The 2‐quinolone moiety is among the most widely used synthetic scaffolds that researchers have used for successful design of new antimicrobial agents [11–25] . One useful strategy has been to create hybrid molecules [26] using two different pharmacophoric moieties with antimicrobial effects.…”

“…В целях научно-практического обоснования безопасного применения данных о противомикробной активности соединений нового классапроизводных замещенных 1Ниндол-4-, 6-, 7-иламинов [2] возникла необходимость изучить токсические эффекты этих соединений.…”
