A new economical scheme of acceptance sampling plan in a two-stage approach based on the maxima nomination sampling technique

Abstract: An acceptance sampling plan plays a very important role in any quality assurance system. In this new economical design of acceptance sampling plan, three types of costs are included in the objective function by considering average outgoing quality limit (AOQL), average quality level (AQL) and lot tolerance percent defective (LTPD) constraints based on the maxima nomination sampling (MNS) method in a two-stage approach. The design of this sampling inspection plan involves the minimum average total inspection (A… Show more

“…This is called the AQL. Considered Fallahnezhad and Qazvini [9] the control of raw materials, semi-finished products or finished products as a dimension of quality assurance. They defined it as acceptance sampling when the control is carried out with the aim of accepting or rejecting a product by adhering to certain standards.…”

“…This method is a scalable cluster analysis algorithm designed to process very large data sets. The most important features of this algorithm are; i) it can be applied in large data sets, ii) it can process categorical and continuous variables, iii) the items that do not fit with the obtained sets can be removed when desired Tkaczynski [9], and iv) it can automatically determine the most appropriate number of clusters [12]. In this method, it is important that the measurements of the variables included in clustering in clustering algorithms are categorical or metric.…”

“…Several authors studied the economical designing of sampling plans using different techniques (see e.g. Hsu and Hsu, 2012; Balamurali et al , 2014; Aslam et al , 2015; Fallahnezhad and Qazvini, 2016; Fallahnezhad et al , 2017). Some of the authors designed the sampling plans with economic aspect using Bayesian approach.…”

“…For more details about the sampling plans, one may refer to Schilling (1982) and Montgomery (2009), and the references cited therein. Recently, economic and Bayesian aspects on the sampling plans have been investigated by some of the authors (see, for example, Fallahnezhad and Babadi, 2015; Fallahnezhad and Qazvini, 2016).…”
