A New Compressing Ultrasonic Data Algorithm Based on Wavelets

Abstract: Abstract:In this paper, we propose a novel and effective algorithm for compressing large volumes of data recorded in underwater applications, using a laboratory designed experimental setup. This data represents samples of ultrasonic signals acquired at different geometric positions of a water tank. The proposed algorithm was based on Wavelets and consists of two processing phases including a prefiltering stage using wavelets to eliminate non significant values thus reducing the number of nonzero coefficients a… Show more

“…A web cast of the developed Webbased learning portal will facilitates online interaction between the learners and the instructors, the user will gain access via authentication by facial recognition features and by the use of appropriate encryption key to the data within the framework of Web-based learning environment. The various techniques are used so that the courseware could be assessed and sent to the learner in a virtual classroom for learners' feedback in a fulfilled security conditions (Amirian and Alesheikh, 2008;Bartlett et al, 2002;Boukerram and Azzou, 2006;Hergli et al, 2005;Denning, 1983;Parry and Gangatharan, 2005;Sleit et al, 2007).…”

“…A number of algorithms related to Web Table Extraction and building a mashup can be seen in (Cafarella et al, 2008), where some algorithms are also inspiring (Dehuri et al, 2006;Hergli et al, 2005). The proposed algorithm is created by using recursive technique, as follows:…”

“…• Difficulty in preselecting the system's architecture • Catastrophic forgetting • Excessive training time required • Lack of knowledge representation facilities To overcome the above problems, improved and new connectionist and hybrid methods and techniques are required both in terms of learning algorithms and systems learning (Richard et al, 2008;AL-Salami, 2009;Boukerram and Azzou, 2006;Hergli et al, 2005).…”
