A New Assessment of Quantum Key Distribution, Attenuation and Data Loss over Foggy, Misty and Humid Environment

Abstract: Quantum encryption is a method of key transfer in cryptography by using quantum entanglement of photons. The real power of quantum entanglement is instantaneous communication that is non intercept able. The advantage of quantum encryption method is, it can be incorporated with conventional encryption methods safely. The quantum cryptography can replace conventional key exchange mechanism with the polarized photons using channels like optic fiber cables. Quantum cryptographic can also provide far and secure dat… Show more

“…Probability Distribution of Transmittance (PDT) facilitates the monitoring of atmospheric transmission, thereby contributing to a better understanding of climate patterns and solar radiation behaviour. PDT provides information about the probability of different levels of light or signal transmitting through a material or medium which can be utilized to design and optimize quantum systems within desired performance results [12]. Here the probability distribution is calculated based on gaussian form of photon source.…”

“…The variation of Keyrates for continuous-variable quantum key distribution under rainy and foggy weather are analyzed in [11]. In [12], prediction of photon loss due to fog is being demonstrated. The waveform shaping method is used in [13]to study effect of atmospheric scattering on QKD.…”
