A new approach in handling soft decision making problems

Abstract: The goal of this paper is to bring a new approach to the computation of the decision making problems by using inverse (fuzzy) soft sets instead of (fuzzy) soft sets which makes the algorithms easier and faster than the existed methods. For this purpose, we first define inverse soft sets and inverse fuzzy soft sets. Then we use them to solve decision making problems in a slightly modified way.

“…In recent years, two studies have been presented on the inverse structures of fuzzy soft sets from different perspectives. In 2016, Ç etkin et al [33] newly initiated the idea of inverse fuzzy soft sets on the common universal set, and then Khalil et al [34] introduced the inverse fuzzy soft sets on the common parameter set in 2019. They focused on the advantages of these inverse fuzzy soft sets in the practice and endeavored to reinforce this argument for decision making.…”

“…Relatedly, it is important to represent both types of inverse structures of fuzzy soft sets through matrices. The main objective of this study is to create the matrix representations of inverse fuzzy soft sets introduced by Ç etkin et al [33] and Khalil et al [34]. Besides, it is aimed to propose new approaches to the MCGDM based on (inverse) fuzzy soft information and to create an outstanding decision making model that can achieve optimal choice when the number of universal object sets is two.…”

“…Of course, soft set theory has recently become a fre-quently used mathematical tool in decision-making theory. Some studies, but not limited to, where soft sets are applied to decision-making problems are given in [13][14][15][16]. In addition, Pei and Miao [7] have shown that each soft set is an information system.…”

“…Das and Samanta [5] introduced the notions of soft real set and soft real number and gave their properties. Recently, soft set theory have a high potential for applications in several areas, see for example [3,4,9].…”
