A New Approach for Information Processing inWireless Sensor Network

Abstract: Recent technological advances enable realization of wireless sensor networks suitable for many applications including environmental monitoring, biological and chemical contamination detection, earthquake management. Depending on the application, the properties of sensor network databases include a distributed environment, approximate and long-running queries, large volumes of data, uncertainty and fuzziness in data and in queries, activeness, etc., which bring out new database processing and management problem… Show more

“…Over the years, various methods have been used for wireless sensor networks data representation and management ( [20,21]). Our approach is different basically by the aspects of big data, graph database storage, and our unique graph data model.…”

“…As the size and complexity of WSNs increase, significant attention is paid to problems of modeling and analysis of WSNs. Since information transmission between sensor nodes can be treated as the occurrences of discrete events after some levels of abstraction, several discrete event dynamic system (DEDS) approaches have been proposed including finite state machines [7]- [9], Markov chains [10], [11], and Petri nets [12]- [17]. In literature, several aspects of problems related to WSNs (e.g., sensor data processing, energy consumption, and intelligent monitoring) have been studied using Petri net models due to their powerful modeling and mathematical analysis framework.…”

“…In literature, several aspects of problems related to WSNs (e.g., sensor data processing, energy consumption, and intelligent monitoring) have been studied using Petri net models due to their powerful modeling and mathematical analysis framework. In particular, the authors of [12] proposed a fuzzy Petri net model to process sensor data and handle flexible and continuous queries. In [13], the authors developed an attack-resistant and efficient localization scheme in WSNs based on Petri nets.…”
