“…Noteworthily, the microemulsion without the surfactant composition was defined as surfactant-free microemulsion (SFME), which showed great solubilization, less adsorption, as well as low toxicity . The SFMEs were already used in various fields, such as synthesis of nanoparticles, photocatalysts, and solubilization of drugs. Recently, the SFME composed of tertiary amines showed CO 2 -regulated microstructural transitions, implying the recyclability of SFME. Some scholars also conducted numerous research studies on CO 2 , e.g., the significance of in situ CO 2 for enhanced oil recovery, the research in carbon capture, transportation, utilization, and storage, and the Karstified geothermal reservoirs.
