“…These conclusions require confirmation by future research. Of note, a supplementary analysis did not confirm a predictive value of the most central symptoms, as opposed to previous research on mixed eating disorders and obesity [38,47,48].…”

“…NA makes it possible to identify those symptoms that perhaps maintain symptoms loops, which constitute the illness and thus may represent treatment targets (Borsboom, 2017). According to the first research evidence on the prognostic value of the most central nodes (Elliott et al, 2018;Monteleone et al, 2019;Olatunji et al, 2018), our findings may suggest the need to focus interventions on general psychiatric symptoms, such as negative affect experiences induced by external stressors and low self-esteem, in addition to ED core symptomatology, especially in female adolescents with AN-restricting type. This is in line with the proved efficacy in AN of interventions considering a broader psychopathological spectrum rather than the mere ED core symptoms, such as enhanced-cognitive behavioral therapy in adolescents (Dalle Grave, Calugi, Doll, & Fairburn, 2013), psychodynamic focal therapy for EDs (Zipfel et al, 2014), or interpersonal psychotherapy (Linardon, Fairburn, Fitzsimmons-Craft, Wilfley, & Brennan, 2017).…”

“…We examined a network composed of personality traits as measured by the TIPI, stigmatizing beliefs derived from the total score of the AQ-9, and burnout dimensions as measured by the MBI in a sample of mental health professionals. Network analysis has been performed with RStudio [57,58] using qgraph package as detailed elsewhere [43,[58][59][60][61][62][63]. When using a network analysis approach to describe the complex interactions among a set of variables [58,[64][65][66], these latter are represented as nodes, connected by edges, which are the visual representation of the correlation among nodes.…”
