A Multiphysics System-to-Cell Framework to Assess the Impact of Operating Conditions of Standalone PV Systems on Lithium-Ion Battery Lifetime

Abstract: This paper proposes a multiphysics simulation structure for predicting Li-ion batteries’ useful life by consolidating battery cell electrochemical and thermal-aging models into the electrical domain of PV-battery standalone systems.
