“…The wording of the questionnaire items may have resulted in the extraction of 14 factors in the EFA. Content validity of the 57-item questionnaire was ensured through the panel of experts, and they suggested rewording some items to maintain the six factors as proposed by Khan's e-learning model (Corbeil et al, 2021). It is of importance to note that the primary objective of this study was to formulate an extensive questionnaire for the purpose of identifying microlearning requirements speci c to the development of micro-credentials within the context of Malaysian HEIs.…”

“…The study intends to adopt a microlearning approach in developing micro-credential modules that focus on demonstrating student competence in a speci c skill. Khan's e-learning model (Corbeil et al, 2021) can be applied to several constructs of micro-credential adoption, including the Pedagogical Dimension (PD), which emphasises the need to design effective learning experiences that align with the goals of the micro-credential. Furthermore, the Technological Dimension (TD), as identi ed by Hanafy (2020), highlights the importance of exibility, personalisation, recognition and collaboration in facilitating the adoption of micro-credentials, which could be relevant to the development of micro-credential modules using a microlearning approach.…”

“…In line with Mayer’s Pre-Training principle, an “Orientation” page was included at the start to provide learners simple guidance on how to navigate through the resource. 21 This was followed by a short pre-course quiz that tested learners’ existing understanding of Kawasaki Disease and identified gaps in their knowledge. The resource was designed to take the learner systematically through key aspects of the conditions such as epidemiology, etiology, diagnostic criteria and treatment.…”
