Introduction: Healthcare workers are always at higher risk of biological exposure as the healthcare setting is hazardous, and it is impracticable to exclude infection. Poor compliance with standard precautions among healthcare workers is one of the leading causes of healthcare-associated infections. This study analyzed the gaps in knowledge, attitude, and practice of infection control among healthcare workers and the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, internet, and social media usage on infection control. Methodology: A cross-sectional study was conducted from 1st to 31st March 2022 among various healthcare professionals using a self-administered structured questionnaire to evaluate knowledge, attitude, and practice on infection control. The impact of COVID-19, Internet, and social media usage on infection control practices was also analyzed. Results: Among 382 healthcare workers who participated in the study, 89.4% of the participants had good knowledge, 55.26% had a neutral attitude, and all showed good practice levels on infection control. Similarly, the result showed that internet and social media usage during COVID-19 had significantly enhanced the knowledge, attitude, and practice on infection control. Conclusions: Healthcare professionals must be frequently updated on infection control guidelines and routine training programs. The hospital's adherence to the Joint Commission International (JCI) guidelines reduces the risk of healthcare-associated infections. As observed in this study, due to the prominent influence of social media and the internet, these platforms can be exploited to provide training and awareness to healthcare professionals and the public.

In the "Fourteenth Five Year Plan" development plan, new requirements were put forward for the development of nursing in comprehensively promoting the construction of a healthy China, especially the rapid development of information technology created new conditions for nursing. Under the background of big data era, it has brought some impact on the traditional nursing management model, which means that we, as nurses, need to adapt to the changes in the environment, adjust the traditional nursing management model, and fully integrate information technology into nursing management, which is an urgent problem to be solved. Based on the current situation of the application of information technology in nursing management, this paper analyzes the prospects and challenges of the application of information technology in nursing management, aiming to provide some suggestions and ideas for the future development of nursing management for nursing workers in China.

Objective: The healthcare-acquired infections are associated with increased morbidity, mortality and healthcare expenditures. Infection transmission can be reduced significantly by adhering to infection control guidelines. Among healthcare workers, nurses are at more risk of exposures to HAIs and can cause cross-infection in patients. Nurses if properly trained, can actively participate in hospital infection control as well as protection of patients, visitors and other staff members. This study aims to assess the Knowledge, Attitude and practices among nurses in infection control practices before and after training. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted at Government hospital to assess knowledge, attitude and practice of Nurses before training. And then, training, especially classes, have taken for nurses on various aspects of IPC practices for 7 d and at the end of 7 d post-test was conducted. Results: The correct response of Nurses for Hand hygiene section before training is 62.2% and after training it was 96.6%. Regarding Respiratory hygiene the correct response before training was 58.4% and 94% after training. About transmission-based precautions the nurses were not much aware before (54% correct response) and after training 93.6% answered well. Regarding safe injection practices, the percentage was 66% and 96.8% and About Biomedical waste management 78.8% and 99.8% before and after training, respectively. Conclusion: Training has an impact to increase the knowledge, attitude and practice in their routine working for nurses so that infections can reduce in the hospital settings.
