“…At a mean up of 4 months, the authors reported 100% success as defined by relief from clinical symptoms and improved drainage on either post procedure excretory urography or diuretic renography [37]. This same group updated their series total to 55 patients in 2007, with reported success of 90% [38]. More recently, Lezrek et al [38] described an endopyeloplasty technique that utilized a laparoscopic needle holder via a nephroscope in 10 consecutive patients.…”

More recently, Lezrek et al [38] described an endopyeloplasty technique that utilized a laparoscopic needle holder via a nephroscope in 10 consecutive patients. Ultimately, endopyeloplasty has not gained much traction in the UPJO management space due to the technical difficulties of endoscopic suturing and the widespread adoption of laparoscopy and robotic systems.…”

“…18 In an updated series of 55 patients, 19 success was 90%. Although a more recent publication from a different group 20 described the technique with the use of a laparoscopic needle holder through the nephroscope, there have been no publications to date on the long-term outcomes of patients who have undergone this procedure. This technique has attained limited traction because of its complexity in suturing and the availability of less cumbersome techniques.…”
