A Molecular Pathway for Arterial-Specific Association of Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

Abstract: The preferential accumulation of vascular smooth muscle cells on arteries versus veins during early development is a well-described phenomenon, but the molecular pathways underlying this polarization are not well understood.
