A Modified Mechanical Model for the Optimization of High Field Solenoid Magnets

Abstract: A modified mechanical model for the stress analysis of solenoid pulsed magnets is presented, which includes the influence of bending on the plane stress analysis. The bending effect in the axial direction is included by introducing the discrete axial strain with the assumption of the uniform distribution of the axial force load.
