A model of library cooperation on overseas Chinese studies: the Ohio experience

Abstract: The Dr You Bao Shao Overseas Chinese Documentation and Research Center at Ohio University Libraries was established in 1993. The World Confederation of Institutes and Libraries in Chinese Overseas Studies (WCILCOS) is a federation established by participating institutes and libraries in the First Chinese Overseas Studies Conference in Athens, Ohio, in 2000 (Chao, 2001), to facilitate cooperation between scholarship and documentation and between institutes, libraries, and archives in different parts of the world.
