Abstract:In this chapter, a sliding-mode observer is proposed for the synchronization problem. This observer presents a simple structure that contains a pure slidingmode term that turns out to be robust against output noises as well as sustained disturbances, while the slave system is a pure sliding-mode observer. Comparisons with two other model-based observers, the Thau observer and Bestle-Zeitz observer, are proposed. In this chapter, we use differential-geometric techniques. The performance of these observers is sh… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
