A Model for Quantum Systems of Two-Band Eigenvalue Spectrum

Abstract: A matrix model to describe quantitatively certain physical properties of quantum systems of two-band eigenvalue spectrum is proposed. This formulation is a generalization of Wannier-type representations and is applicable to various situations where physical properties are defined in tensor form.
