Cloud computing (CC) allows obtaining computing resources on-demand and also allows storing avalanche of data with a high fault tolerance level. Security is extremely vital when storing an avalanche of data on the cloud for resolving a number of issues. Though several existing works were there to store data on the cloud, still there are some problems that the data owner has to suffer, such as lack of confidentiality, time delay in storing, and also data being attacked because of insider troubles. Thus, this paper strives to strengthen the sensitive Data Confidentiality (DC) in private as well as public cloud storage by proposing a new data portability and access policy scheme to resolve these afore-mentioned problems. A novel algorithm termed Sandpiper Genetic Algorithm (SP-GA) is launched to maintain proper portability between the cloud-severs. Then, Length Caesar Cipher based Access Policy (LCC-AP) technique is utilized to achieve DC. The proposed techniques guarantee DC, support portability, and also provide secured sharing of files among users. Experimental outcomes show the potential efficiency of SP-GA and LCC-AP

The issue on how to effectively deliver video streaming contents over cloud computing infrastructures is tackled in this study. Basically, quality of service of video streaming is strongly influenced by bandwidth, jitter and data loss problems. A number of intelligent video streaming algorithms are proposed by using different techniques to deal with such issues. This study aims to propose and demonstrate a novel decision making analysis which combines ISO 9126 (international standard for software engineering) and Analytic Hierarchy Process to help experts selecting the best video streaming algorithm for the case of private cloud computing infrastructure. The given case study concluded that Scalable Streaming algorithm is the best algorithm to be implemented for delivering high quality of service of video streaming over the private cloud computing infrastructure.

Dynamic control and Resource management for Mission Critical Multi-tier Applications in Cloud Data Center

The multi-tier architecture style has become an industry standard in modern data centers with each tier providing certain functionality. To avoid congestion and to adhere the SLA under fluctuating workload and unpredictable failures of Mission Critical Multi-tier applications hosted in the cloud, we need a Dynamic admission control policy, such that the requests must be processed from the first tier to the last without any delay. This paper presents the least strict admission control policy, which will induce the maximal throughput, for a twotier system with parallel servers. We propose an optimization model to minimize the total number of virtual machines for computing resources in each tier by dynamically varying the mean service rate of the VMs. Some performance indicators and computational results showing the effect of model parameters are presented. Consequently, a number of web applications, particularly the web applications of medium and small enterprises, have been built into a cloud environment. Meanwhile, leading IT companies have established public commercial clouds. For example, Google App Engine enables enterprises to build and host web applications on the same systems that power Google applications. App Engine offers fast development and deployment; simple administration, with no need to worry about hardware, patches or backups; and effortless scalability [2]. IBM also provides cloud options [3]. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers [4].
