A Model‐Based Unloaded Test Method for Analysis of Braking Capacity of Elevator Brake

Abstract: In order to improve the inspection efficiency and accuracy of the braking capacity of the elevator brake being used, a novel method for analyzing the full-loaded braking performance by using the unloaded braking performance is proposed, and a set of methods for measuring the braking torque is designed. Based on the analysis of the key factors that affect the mechanical performance of the elevator brake, the calculation model of the braking torque in the process of the emergency braking with the traction ratio … Show more

“…Poul analyzed the influence of load on effective braking distance and descending speed during emergency braking and gave the calculation results [14]. Peng et al studied a test method of no-load elevator braking torque and gave a method to predict full-load braking capacity based on noload test results [15]. Longwic and Szydło introduced the test results of the influence of guide rail pollution on the braking delay of the progressive gear in the friction lift.…”

“…It not only has a large cumulative error, but also not accurate for the acquisition of the braking action. 42,43 To solve the above problems, this paper proposed a non-contact test method based on infrared technology. It does not have to calculate any intermediate quantity.…”

“…They offered optimized profiles in terms of dimensions while maintaining the appropriate value of slips. In addition, the FEM method is used to determine torsional flexural buckling in steel columns, expanded in [12], and to analyse the braking system of the friction crane described in [13]. The authors in [14,15] present the operation of safety gears as a result of changing operating conditions and based on experimental studies carried out wavelet analysis of the results obtained.…”
