This study investigates the Dynamic Coupling between Land Use Economic Efficiency (LUEE) and Urban Ecological Resilience (UER) in the Yellow River Basin (YRB). This exploration is pivotal for elucidating the interaction mechanisms between economic growth and ecological governance. Furthermore, understanding this relationship is essential for fostering high-quality, sustainable urban development in the YRB. Utilizing panel data from 56 cities spanning 2003 to 2020, this study employed the coupling coordination degree (CCD) model, spatial correlation analysis, Kernel density estimation, convergence model, and Geodetector to systematically analyze the spatio-temporal distribution, dynamic trend, and determinants of the CCD between LUEE and UER in the YRB. The findings indicate that: (1) A general upward trend in both LUEE and UER, accompanied by a steady improvement in their CCD. (2) Significant spatial disparities in their CCD, with higher levels in the lower reaches. (3) Marked positive spatial autocorrelation, predominantly characterized by clusters where high (low) values are surrounded by high (low) values. (4) Regarding the impact of individual factors, government fiscal budget expenditure demonstrates the most robust explanatory power for the CCD within the YRB. Concerning the effects of two-factor interactions, the interplay between industrial structure upgrading and government fiscal budget expenditure emerges as the most significant determinant in influencing the CCD between LUEE and UER. This study enhances our comprehensive understanding of the interplay between economic and ecological systems. It offers scientific insights and strategic direction for harmonizing ecological governance with urban economic growth at both the regional and global scales.

With the flourishing development of the urban metro system, the topology of important nodes changes as the metro network structure evolves further. The identical important node has distinct impacts on various metro networks’ resilience. At present, the dynamic influences of important station evolution on the resilience of metro networks remain to be studied further. Taking Shenzhen Metro Network (SZMN) as an example, the dynamic influences of the structure evolution of important nodes on the resilience of the metro network were investigated in this study. Firstly, the dynamic evolution characteristics of complex network topology and node centralities in metro systems were mined. Then, combined with the node interruption simulation and the resilience loss triangle theory, the resilience levels of distinct metro networks facing the failure of the same critical node were statistically assessed. Additionally, suggestions for optimal network recovery strategies for diverse cases were made. Finally, based on the evaluation results of node importance and network resilience, the dynamic influences of the topological evolution of important nodes on the resilience of metro networks were thoroughly discussed. The study’s findings help us comprehend the metro network’s development features better and can assist the metro management department in making knowledgeable decisions and taking appropriate action in an emergency. This study has theoretical and practical significance for the resilient operation and sustainable planning of urban metro network systems.

The assessment of the resilience of Urban Rail Transit Networks (URTNs) and the analysis of their evolutionary characteristics during network growth can help in the design of efficient, safe, and sustainable networks. However, there have been few studies regarding the change of resilience in long-term network development. As for the existing resilience studies, they rarely consider the entire cycle of accident occurrence and repair; furthermore, they ignore the changes in network transportation performance during emergencies. Moreover, the measurement metrics of the important nodes have not been comprehensively considered. Therefore, to remedy these deficiencies, this paper proposes a URTN dynamic resilience assessment model that integrates the entire cycle of incident occurrence and repair, and introduces the network transport effectiveness index E(Gw) to quantitatively assess the network resilience. In addition, a weighted comprehensive identification method of the important nodes (the WH method) is proposed. The application considers the Xi’an urban rail transit network (XURTN) during 2011–2021. The obtained results identify the resilience evolutionary characteristics during network growth. And longer peripheral lines negatively affect the resilience of XURTN during both the attack and the repair processes. The central city network improves the damage index Rdam and the recovery index Rrec by up to 123.46% and 11.65%, respectively, over the overall network. In addition, the WH method can comprehensively and accurately identify the important nodes in the network and their evolutionary characteristics. Compared to the single-factor and topological strategies, the Rdam is 1.17%~178.89% smaller and the Rrec is 1.68%~84.81% larger under the WH strategy. Therefore, this method improves the accuracy of the important node identification. Overall, the insights from this study can provide practical and scientific references for the synergistic development of URTN and urban space, the enhancement of network resilience, and the protection and restoration of important nodes.
