The article summarizes the results of the analysis of private accommodations in Kazan for people with disabilities and their families. It also presents an overview of pedagogical and project experiences in the design aspect of the universal environment in Kazan. The study includes an expert survey and case studies from the life of families. The main purpose of the study is to designate the scope of problems that prevent city integration. A key aspect in organizing an accessible and comfortable environment in the city is determined by its connectivity at the city level and implementation of universal design. The authors come to the conclusion that there are elements of universal design and accessibility in Kazan but the holistic connection and universal environment are still uncompleted. The integrity is not achieved due to the historical evolution of the city, the lack of necessary solutions at the level of transportation and pedestrian paths, urban complexes and local objects. The attitude to people with disabilities in Russian society is also considered as a factor that slows down the process of the city integration and adaptation for all.

The Jaipong dance is one of the traditional Indonesian dances, the nation's cultural heritage originating from West Java. Introducing dance to elementary school-level children is one way to maintain and preserve regional culture. However, the limited learning time causes the material to be delivered less in-depth, so students feel bored, lose motivation, and get some critical information from the material. This study aims to build a mobile-based learning application for Jaipong dance learning activities at the elementary school level using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The application evaluation involved fifteen public elementary school students in Ciamis, West Java. Participants were asked to answer a quantitative survey using the Quality Use Integrated Measurement (QUIM) instrument to discover their experience using the application during Jaipong dance lessons. The test results get an average score of 91%, included in the "excellent" category. These results were strengthened by the user's understanding of the Jaipong dance. As many as 86.7% of users who use the Jaipong dance learning application understand the material well. In contrast, only 33.3% of YouTube users understand the material well. This paper shows that the UCD method contributes to the design process according to the needs and characteristics of the user to design the user interface of the Jaipong dance learning application.

BACKGROUND: Studies reveal healthcare disparities for people with disabilities (PwD) due to various barriers. Digital health offers promise but raises concerns about the digital divide. To address that, health Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) should follow inclusive design principles for accessibility to all, including PwD. OBJECTIVE: We examine the design of ICTs in healthcare to address the needs of people with disabilities. Three research questions guide the study: (i) how health technologies contribute to healthcare accessibility and inclusion; (ii) what the main challenges are in implementing these technologies; (iii) how health ICTs are structured to meet users’ limitations and enhance performance. METHODS: Research questions are addressed through a scoping review and critical literature analysis, drawing from seven databases and grey literature. The analysis of research question (iii) uses the accessibility fundamentals recommended by the Web Accessibility Initiative as starting point. RESULTS: Our research reveals a predominant focus on the elderly, with cognitive impairment as the most studied limitation, followed by mobility, reach and dexterity, vision, and hearing. CONCLUSIONS: We emphasize the need for inclusive design for all health technologies and investigate their potential to improve user and healthcare system performance. We also propose four promising research directions for further investigation.
