A microtitre chemiluminescence sensor for detection of pyrethroids based on dual‐dummy‐template molecularly imprinted polymer and computational simulation

Abstract: The residues of pyrethroids in foods of animal origin are dangerous to the consumers, so this study presented a chemiluminescence sensor for determination of pyrethroids in chicken samples. A dual-dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymer capable of recognizing 10 pyrethroids was synthesized. The results of computation simulation showed that the specific 3D conformations of the templates had important influences on the polymer's recognition ability. The polymer was used to prepare a sensor on conventional 9… Show more

“…However, the special Y-shaped tubes used in these two articles meant that only fenvalerate and fenprothrin were determined instead of multiple simultaneous detections. Huang et al [ 31 ] prepared an MIP that identifies 10 pyrethroid pesticides using double virtual templates and designed a chemiluminescence sensor for the determination of chicken pyrethroid pesticides. This method was repeatable four times, had a detection time of 12 min, and the limits of detection were in the range of 0.3–6.0 pg/mL in the 10 analytes.…”

“…MD-based investigations of other aspects of the pre-polymerization stage include studies of the structural stability of protein epitopes for template screening [ 414 , 415 ], mapping potential monomer interaction sites of a protein target, followed by docking of acrylamide-derived monomers and post-docking interaction energy calculations [ 416 ], studies of template interactions with Dengue virus as a support matrix to create larger binding sites [ 417 ], a series of reports attempting to correlate structural and physical properties of dummy templates and ligands with rebinding properties [ 418 , 419 , 420 , 421 , 422 , 423 , 424 , 425 , 426 ] and coarse-grained simulations studying the effect of composition on material properties and template interaction [ 427 ]. Additionally, large-scale MD simulations were performed in an attempt to mimic chromatography in a virtual capillary [ 428 ].…”

“…Recently, a chemiluminescence sensor based on a dual-DMIP has been developed for the determination of pyrethroids in chicken samples. 90 This study used for the first time two dummy templates (pyrethrin I and phenyl ether) to synthesize a MIP. The 3D models and several conformational parameters of both templates and the target pyrethroids, as well as the influence of the binding energy and specific intermolecular forces on the recognition mechanism, were studied using computational simulation.…”
