Abstract:This paper deals with an original haptic teleoperation and HRI for microrobotic tasks involving optics and more generally light information. It aims to demonstrate the proof of concept of using light information in haptic teleoperation for component alignment with sub-micrometer accuracy. The case study focuses on the alignment of a laser optical fiber on the active surface of a photodiode using a micro-robotic system and a pantograph. Since an alignment error of 1 µm leads to a loss of more than 35 % in signa… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
