A Metric Space of Ranked Tree Shapes and Ranked Genealogies

Abstract: Genealogical tree modeling is essential for estimating evolutionary parameters in population genetics and phylogenetics. Recent mathematical results concerning ranked genealogies without leaf labels enable new opportunities in the analysis of evolutionary trees.
