A methodology for managing distributed virtual environment scalability

Abstract: Distributed Virtual Environments (DVEs) are a large class of real-time simulation systems. We present an implementation-independent methodology for measuring, analyzing, and comparing DVE systems performance. The methodology comprises of a process of requirements elicitation and their conversion into measurable objectives.
