“…The effects of the VTR experience were compared with the effects evolving from an equivalent period of time devoted to discussion of preceding psychotherapy sessions without the use of video tape in comparable groups of patients. Previous reports of the use of video tape as a therapeutic agent (Kagan et al, 1963, Pascal et al, 1967, Rogers, 1968 have been primarily anecdotal. The authors believe that the present study is the first to their knowledge to present systematic evidence bearing on the issue of the effectiveness of video tape feedback.…”
