A Method for the Quantitative Determination of Anthraquinones and Alkaloids in Cell and Tissue Cultures ofCinchonaSp.
Abstract: A procedure is described for the extraction of both anthraquinones and alkaloids from tissue culture material of CINCHONA species. Using this extraction method, it is possible to quantitatively determine the two groups of secondary metabolites produced in CINCHONA tissue cultures.
