“…Our findings demonstrate an association with increased troponin levels consistent with the current literature. A recent meta-analysis demonstrated that those with severe COVID-19 infection and non-survivors had a much greater burden of CHF, and that these patients were at an increased risk of acute cardiac injury and rhythm irregularities, which was measured via increased levels of cardiac biomarkers [ 19 ].
