Unggan weaving, an original cultural product of the Sijunjung people, especially in Unggan Village, is widely used as employee, traditional, and school uniforms once a week. However, the use of Unggan weaving in mathematics learning has yet to be widely explored. This research aims to reveal the mathematical elements of Unggan weaving as a learning vehicle more appropriate to students' culture. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data collection methods use in-depth interviews, documentation, and ethnographic notes. The interview subjects were Ernita, owner of Unggan Weaving (R-1), and Masniati, an employee of Unggan Weaving (R-2). Data analysis uses the results of interpretation and translation of the phenomena found, as well as based on the results of the informant's conception of the meaning and the informant's original language regarding the focus, which is combined verbally with the researcher's language after in-depth understanding through focus group discussions (FGD). The research results show that Unggan woven fabric contains mathematical elements of geometric transformation (translation, reflection, dilation, symmetry) and arithmetic number patterns. The results of this research can be recommended as material for developing school mathematics teaching materials based on local wisdom.

In the era of the ancestors of the Nias people, the majority adhered to ritual beliefs by facing and prostrating to ask for guidance on the truth through menhirs or the like that are believed and agreed upon by a group of people. The purpose of this research is to describe the genealogy and reveal the value of honesty contained in the Tugala Oyo Gowe (judgment stone) located in Siwawӧ Village, Tugala Oyo Sub-district, North Nias Regency. This research method is descriptive research by applying the observation method through an ethnographic approach. To obtain information about the meaning of rituals contained in gowe (judgment stone) through figures and residents. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, field notes and documentation while data analysis techniques are formulated by paying attention to the stages of activity, namely qualitative structuring of raw data, data selection. Furthermore, in collecting data this research used the original Nias language of the informants and then translated into bilingualism. The qualitative approach in question is to explain the data related to community views on the value of honesty towards the object being observed, namely gowe Tugala Oyo. The character value of respecting one's own culture is very important to instill in children so that cultural resistance can be maintained for generations. Cultural values such as religion, morals, cooperation, trust, and responsibility should be used as a philosophical foundation in people's lives. This article finds a discussion to follow-up implementation of the merdeka belajar policy in Indonesia. Through the merdeka belajar or can be interpreted as freedom to learn is a concept that aims to create freedom of thought and innovation. Currently, 100 percent of high scholl, vocational and junior high school levels throughout East Java implement SMIs for the 2023/2024 academic year. Since its estabilishment in Pacitan Regency at the senior high school, there have only been 8 public and private high school out of a total of high schools. The method in this article is a descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out by an interview process then see the suitability and match between theory and facts in the field. The results of this article found that the first component of policy implementation from Edward III, namely communication is which occurred at SMA Negeri 1 Pacitan Regency has been going well even though there is often a different understanding of information from the center because of a person’s interpretative power. In the bureaucracy, the branch of the East Java Provincial Education Office through supervisors monitors the implementation. Regarding resources, although it seems sudden because the process of socializing this curriculum is fast, the resources at SMA Negeri 1 Pacitan Regency are fast to make adjusments. Furhermore, the disposition even though inistially ther was no funding for the merdeka belajar curriculum, the school finally decided with the committee to use the BOS fund and Committee Fun for learning purposes
