A Mathematical Model for the Investigations of Access Demands on Information Networks with Applications

Abstract

Investigation of demands on information networks helps in the planning, design, and improvements of such networks. This article presents a mathematical model upon which such investigations can be based and describes how the model has been used for the investigation of a GULFNET (the research network of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries)case study.
