“…The Cambridge Structural Database (CSD, version 5.35)5 contains the molecular structures of just 33 Mg–porphyrin complexes, and most of the published Mg–porphyrins are tetravalent magnesium derivatives [Mg(Porph)] (Porph = porphyrinato) or five‐coordinate and six‐coordinate magnesium metalloporphyrins [Mg(Porph)L] and [Mg(Porph)L 2 ], in which L is a neutral ligand. Only two pentacoordinate magnesium(II) porphyrin derivatives with anionic ligands have been reported: [Mg(TPP)(HCO 3 )] – (TPP = tetraphenylporphyrinato)6 and [Mg(OEP)(OClO 3 )] – (OEP = octaethylporphyrin dianion),7 and no structure of a magnesium azide complex has been reported.…”

“…[143][144][145] Magnesium tetraphenylporphyrin, upon treatment with [Bu 4 N]OH under a CO 2 atmosphere, has been reported to form its bicarbonate adduct. 146 Several magnesium phthalocyanines containing four 1,1 0 -binaphthol substituents at peripheral and nonperipheral positions have been reported 147 as have two complexes of magnesium phthalocyanine with dioxane. 148 Magnesium derivatives containing pyrrolyl or ketiminato ligands have been synthesised and applied in the ROP of caprolactone.…”

“…It was shown that the properties of the nanostructures, in particular the rate of energy transfer between adjacent molecules, are strongly affected by the structure of the ensemble. This makes them promising for the conversion of solar energy into chemical or electrical energy in, e.g., photocatalytic applications, sensors, and organic photovoltaics. …”
